People living in West Hollywood tend to have high expectations when it comes to facial sculpting treatments like fillers. If you are looking for a product that can help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, or if you simply want to alter your facial anatomy in a subtle way, then you should consider undergoing a treatment with Juvederm® dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid. These fillers offer immediate results with little to no downtime.
Causes of Facial Aging
Before looking in-depth at Juvederm®, it may be helpful to understand the causes of facial aging as it relates to treatment with dermal fillers. Your skin contains certain substances like hyaluronic acid that tend to decline in both quantity and quality as you grow older. The purpose of hyaluronic acid in your skin is to create hydration. HA is ubiquitous in soft tissues like between your joints and and skin. In your joints, hyaluronic acid acts as a cushion for harsh impacts. Your skin benefits from hyaluronic acid by becoming more volumized and hydrated.
As you grow older and lose hyaluronic acid, your skin will naturally become thinner and drier. Think of a dry riverbed. The dryer it gets, the more cracks develop in the surface. Wrinkles are cracks that become creases and folds over time. That is where Juvederm® comes in.
Juvederm® to the Rescue
A Juvederm® treatment can help to reverse the process of facial aging created by a deficiency of hyaluronic acid. It contains hyaluronic acid within an extremely smooth gel that works very easily using the injection delivery method. After injection at the treatment sites, the product begins to immediately draw moisture into your skin to hydrate and plump it. In addition to hyaluronic acid, the gel contains lidocaine to ensure the comfort of the patient.
Voluma
As you grow older, your skin may begin to sag and your cheeks may flatten. This can be a result of volume loss in your cheek area. The Voluma product was specifically formulated to create volume under the surface of your skin to contour and lift the cheek area.
The Volbella product is a gel that is delivered using an injection into your lips to augment them and correct “lipstick lines” in adults.
Vollure
If you are dealing with moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles like “parentheses lines” around your mouth and nose, we can inject you with Vollure to temporarily correct these types of wrinkles, leading to a more youthful and smooth facial appearance.

As Emerage Medical reopens to the public, we’re implementing extensive protocols to keep our practice virus-free, and our staff and patients safe. Our approach closely follows public health directives and the latest recommendations from medical journals and academies.
Fewer People, Less Risk The most visible change is reduced in-office staff. Fewer people means less person-to-person contact. We are only seeing about 25% of our normal patient volume and will only increase this by expanding our operating schedule – not by reducing time between patients.
Here’s How Patients Can Help 1. Please do not bring guests unless absolutely necessary, as they will not be permitted in the waiting room. 2. Please continue to wear a mask or face covering until you enter the exam room. 3. We screen everyone who enters the office – staff and patients alike – about recent travel, flu-like symptoms, and any potential exposure to COVID-19. Please help us by being transparent in your answers. 4. Please allow our staff to take your temperature at check-in using a contactless thermometer.
What to Expect After Check-In After the check-in screening, patients will be directly escorted to their exam room to complete any paperwork. This is to reduce potential contact with other patients. Clean pens and clipboards will be provided to everyone and resterilized between each use.
Even More Safety Measures Everyone on our staff has been directed not to come in if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 or recently came in direct contact with anyone who’s tested positive. Here’s what else we’re doing to keep you safer:
Staff members will be wearing protective masks at all times.
All chairs, surfaces, and non-disposable equipment will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes between patients and at the top of every hour.
All in-person meetings with suppliers, vendors, or salespeople have been canceled to reduce unnecessary foot traffic.
Hand-sanitizing stations are available in nearly every area of the office.
The entire practice will be cleaned each night, including periodic deep cleanings to further sanitize the premises.
