P-SHOT
WHAT IS THE P-SHOT?
A P-Shot, or “Man Shot,” treatment involves injecting the penis with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from the patient’s own blood. P-Shot treatments are intended to promote harder, longer-lasting erections and heightened sexual stimulation by restoring healthy, optimally functioning erectile tissue. Men have also reported improvements in the size and general appearance of the penis after their P-Shot treatment.
The P-Shot can support male sexual wellness in a variety of ways, including:
- Production of new collagen – Collagen provides the body’s tissues with structure and strength. Men produce less collagen as they age, which can negatively impact the appearance and function of the penis. PRP encourages new collagen formation to compensate for the age-related decline in production.
- Formation of new blood vessels – Improving circulation throughout the penile tissue can facilitate stronger, harder erections and more intense sensations.
- Aesthetic enhancement – The benefits of healthier blood flow and firmer, more youthful skin often translate to visible improvements in the appearance of the penis.
- Improvements in nerve signaling – New neural pathways can develop in response to the positive sexual experiences that men have after P-Shot treatments. This can further enhance a man’s sex life and result in more intense orgasms.

HOW DOES THE P-SHOT WORK?
PROCEDURE DETAILS
PRP is an incredibly versatile aesthetic and medical treatment. The platelets found in your blood are central to your body’s natural healing process and have demonstrated great value as a regenerative treatment.
Some of the first medical applications of PRP were to support wound-healing and to treat inflammation and tissue degradation in muscles and joints throughout the body. Since then, medical professionals like Dr. Emer have discovered the utility and benefits of PRP for treating a variety of cosmetic and functional concerns.
What makes PRP effective for so many conditions is its ability to optimize cellular function, repair damaged tissue, and promote robust vascular function. When PRP is injected into the penis, it can remodel tissue and replace dysfunctional cells with new, healthy cells. It also encourages the regrowth of blood vessels and nerves, which can contribute to improvements in performance and pleasure.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE P-SHOT?
When used as part of a personalized penile enhancement protocol, Dr. Emer’s patients have reported a wide range of positive effects, including:
- Girth and/or length enhancement
- More frequent erections
- Stronger erections
- Increased ejaculation
- Heightened arousal
- More intense orgasms
- Greater self-confidence
- Improved stamina
- Overall more satisfying sex life
HOW SOON WILL I SEE MY P-SHOT RESULTS?
Your response to the P-Shot will be unique to your physiology. Your general health, hormone levels, natural healing response, lifestyle, and other factors will impact how quickly you notice improvements. Dr. Emer typically combines the P-Shot with complementary procedures to encourage accelerated results and to amplify its effects.
Some men report results in as little as 24 hours after their first P-Shot. Patients with more complex health issues may not experience noticeable results until several weeks after completing two to three P-Shot treatments.
HOW MANY P-SHOT TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The ideal number of P-Shot treatments for you will depend on your aesthetic and functional goals as well as whether you have any pre-existing health conditions. Men who have a significant history of ED tend to require a greater number of treatment sessions before their peak results are achieved.
Typically, an initial series of three PRP injections is recommended at intervals of about six weeks. Once you reach your goals for treatment, annual or bi-annual maintenance treatments are advised.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE P-SHOT PROCEDURE
The P-Shot is a non-surgical procedure that Dr. Emer performs on-site at his Beverly Hills medical practice. There is no need for general anesthesia or sedation, so you will be able to go home at the conclusion of your treatment. While your procedure will be planned with your specific needs in mind, such as whether you are combining the P-Shot with an additional treatment, patients can expect the P-Shot procedure to include:
- Blood draw – To create your PRP injections, blood must be drawn from your body. In most cases, blood is drawn from your arm.
- Processing the blood – Plasma and platelets are just two components of the blood, so they must be isolated in order to make the PRP injections. A centrifuge is used to rapidly spin the blood, so the platelets and plasma can be extracted.
- Preparation of injections – Dr. Emer adds stem cells (ACell) to the PRP when preparing your injections to optimize your results.
- Topical anesthetic – A topical numbing cream is applied before the injections are administered. It takes about 15 minutes for the cream to take effect. Injections – When your P-Shot is ready, Dr. Emer will identify the ideal injection sites for your needs. Treatment can involve four or five injection sites. It only takes a few minutes for Dr. Emer to perform the injections.
- Penis pump – A penis pump will then be used to draw blood into the area and activate the PRP.
P-SHOT RECOVERY AND AFTERCARE
The P-Shot involves little-to-no downtime. You may choose to take the rest of the day off from work, though many men find this is not necessary. Minor swelling and bruising at the injection sites can occur. These symptoms usually dissipate within a few days.
Aftercare is minimal with the P-Shot as well. You will be instructed to abstain from sexual intercourse and masturbation for 24-48 hours after your procedure. This allows the injection sites to heal and prevents them from becoming infected.
Sweating and friction can also aggravate the injection sites. Vigorous physical exertion should be avoided for the first few days after your P-Shot.
Dr. Emer will advise you regarding at-home use of a penis pump. When used as directed, a penis pump can encourage further improvements in circulation and new blood vessel formation.
